Q: What type of practice do you work in?
A: Periodontal
Q: What is your title?
A: Office Manager
Q: How long have you been with this practice?
A: 11 years
Q: What are some of the duties you are responsible for within your practice?
A: I manage growth objectives, both administrative and clinical, for our practice. In addition, I am very involved in monitoring our daily statistics to assure we meet or exceed our production and collection goals.
Q: What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
A: As a team member of a successful practice, we have the ability to drastically change the quality of our patients lives. It is very rewarding to offer services that are life altering and improve the health and well being of our patients.
Q: What do you see as some of the benefits of membership to AADOM?
A: The opportunity to associate and exchange ideas with other professionals who are leaders in our field is invaluable. The open forum is a wonderful tool for me as a manager to gain knowledge and ideas to help resolve a specific issue. The education available from the AADOM website keeps us all informed in this ever changing field and provides us with information to pass on to our staff. This improves the overall performance of our practices.
Q: What other services would you like to see AADOM provide for dental office managers?
A: I’d love more education on the topic of HR and the hiring process. It would also be helpful to spend some time discussing employee development programs for all positions in our practice. Lastly, I’d love to see a resource and education around a system to perform back ground checks for applicants.
Q: Have you ever attended an AADOM conference?
A: No, not as of yet, but will be heading to San Antonio.
Q: Can you tell us about your experience?
A: Not yet as I have not attended.
Q: Are you planning to attend AADOM18?
A: Yes, and I’m so looking forward to it!
Q: Are you a Fellow or are you pursuing Fellowship?
A: Not yet but I am pursuing it.

A: Dentrix
Q: What company do you order the majority of your dental supplies from?
A: Cedar Dental
Q: Do you or your practice support any charitable organizations?
A: Yes, we donate dental services and are involved in the Holocaust Survivor Program and the Cathedral Kitchen.
Q: What are some of your hobbies/interests outside of work?
A: I love spending time with my family, traveling, sailing, gardening and finally sewing and art & crafts!
